Q What is the Bodylink system?
A The Bodylink system is a wireless Personal Area Network of Timex devices.  The data recorder stores performance data that can be later viewed on your computer or on the bodylink watch.  Information such as speed distance heart rate and more is stored.  All of the components are compatible with all systems.

 

Q Can I display speed distance and heart rate at the same time?

A Yes the bodylink performance monitor watch has a large display with 3 lines and is fully configurable.

 

Q What is the data recorder?

A The Bodylink data recorder is a small wireless device worn on the body that records information from the GPS unit and Heart monitor strap.  You can later download your workout data to your computer ( windows 98SE, ME, XP, 2000) via a USB cable.  It does not require a watch to function. 

 

Q When will the data recorder be available?

Q What is the Timex Trainer software?

A The Timex Trainer software is an application that you run on your computer to download your workout data from your bodylink data recorder or Timex Datalink USB watch.

 

Q Is the Bodylink system compatible with my Speed and Distance System?

A Yes, The Bodylink components are fully compatible with your existing GPS unit.  You can add system 59571 to give you speed distance and heart rate.  You existing watch will not display heart rate.

 

Q Is the Bodylink system compatible with my Timex Heart monitor watch?

A Yes, The Bodylink components are fully compatible with your existing heart rate strap.  You may add system 59561 to give you  speed distance and heart rate.  Your existing watch will not display speed and distance.

 

Q Is the Bodylink system waterproof?

A  The watch is fully waterproof to 50 meters static.  The strap is water resistant to 60 psi but will not operate while under water.  The gps unit is splash resistant but will not operate underwater  ( some swimmers place the gps in a plastic bag ).

 

Q How long do the batteries last?

A  The watch has a 2 year battery life,  The Heart monitor strap battery lasts 2 years under normal use and is user replaceable.  The gps unit uses aaa batteries and lasts for around 12 hours continuous use (many people use rechargeable batteries with good results)

 

Q Does the bodylink watch have a countdown timer?

A  Yes, it has a programmable count down timer with hh:mm:ss the alarm goes off and light flashes.
 

Q How many laps does the  bodylink watch store?

A  100

Q Can the bodylink watch watch automatically start the chronograph and record laps?

A Yes the bodylink watch will automatically start, stop and take splits using the GPS unit.

Q Can I buy a Bodylink system on EBAY?

A Authorized Timex dealers are not allowed to sell Bodylink systems on EBAY.  If you buy one there it will have no warranty and most likely is a second with something wrong.  There are currently many scams running on ebay for Bodylink systems don't believe them it is not the same system you can buy here.
