If you are not using them for fiber you can still utilize these ports.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For one you can connect a desktop or uplink to another switch at 10Gbps using a inexpensive <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3usBrnE\">twinax cable like this one<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another way you can use your \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Enhanced_small_form-factor_pluggable_transceiver\">enhanced small form-factor pluggable tranceiver<\/a> generally called SFP+ ports  is with a copper  10Gbase-T Adapter I tested several and found that the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3SQNq80\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3SQNq80\">Wiitek SFP+ to RJ45 Copper\u00a0module<\/a> works well with the ECS2512FP. If you have Cat6 you can do 5Gbps 5GBASE-T or Cat6A will do 10Gbps <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/10GBASE-T\">10GBASE-T<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In conclusion there are ways to utilize your switches SFP+ ports even if you do not have fiber.
